MEET THE AUTHOR
Bernard Montpeirous
The son of Haitian immigrants, Bernard Montpeirous spent over 25 years as a doorman at the legendary Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. In 'Top Hat, White Gloves, Big Apple,' Bernard pulls back the velvet curtain on some of the city's most colorful guests and a bygone era of old-school hotel hospitality.
His stories are a celebration of resilience, New York grit, and the extraordinary lives of the people who make the Big Apple turn.
